84% of the group identify as Gen Z/Millennials.84% affirmed that music has a vital emotional function in their lives, stating it to be a tool or a method used to increase personal emotional understanding.Research Participant #5Īfter completing an affinity map and further synthesizing my research, the most critical insights I received from my interviews were the following: “Music to me is what I imagine literature is to other people- a way to contextualize how I interpret my life in order to better understand myself and others”. What do you like/dislike about the music-related apps you use?Ĭan you explain how the music-related apps you use help you find music to match your mood? What does music mean to you in your life?ĭoes music have an emotional function in your life? How?Ĭan you describe how well you articulate different moods you’re in?Ĭan you explain the avenues in which you accessed music in the past month? The following is a list of my research questions that proved to be the most essential to the entire project: Eleven out of thirteen participants described themselves as either Gen Z or Millennial. They ranged in age from 13–41 years old, four self-identified male and nine female. To test these assumptions, I conducted thirteen interviews with a diverse array of research participants. Finally, I had the audacity to hope I could discover the needs they had somewhere in between. Next, I assumed they use music streaming platforms to access it. Now their reasons for shutting it down were fully understandable, look it up on your own, they said their piece and laid the beauty to bed. And up until 3 weeks ago, Meltdown went on like clockwork. Until they happened to lose to an even bigger rival in Auburn and simply chose not to publish. Work or something got in the way of a piece that ran unstopped for 10 straight years. Coincidentally, after 8 years of hubris, they forgot to post their own Meltdown after the LSU loss. Craftily managed, they scoured the message boards to eviscerate emotions of losing teams. Directly stealing from This Week in Schadenfruede as well as the beauty of Barking Carnival, the Meltdown thread on RBR placed itself into appointment reading. If they can dish it, they should be able to take it. And Ole Miss will be an incredible test on our D line and Linebacking Crew, Lane is too good of a coach to not test and try to exploit our defensive challenges.īut man oh man. ![]() It was the passing game break out I was hoping to see, and the vibe of the season has changed.
